This is a gourgeous American Burl. The Fountain pen has a beautiful grain display and shows a lot of character of the stabalized Burl. The 24Kt gold plated hardware, along with the texture and grain of this burl makes it a truely mesmerizing and stunning writing instrument. I spent a great amount of time profiling and turning this Pen.
I then used my three step finishing process by sanding with 14 grits of sanding material. The Pen body was then polished to a very nice gloss using friction polish and a smooth lacquer finish was applied.
The Tycoon is simply a great looking pen. The classic design features ultra-smooth and durable threading, a regal pinstripe band and striking facets on the meduim fountain nib. Uses standard fountain pen cartridges. I've included a nice pen box.
