Handcrafted razor handle is made from a very beautiful STABALIZED SPALTED BEECH & MAPLE wood blank . This Razor fits the popular Gillette MACH3 , Ladies Venus or FUSION blades. I used this STABALIZED SPALTED BEECH & MAPLE wood blank because of its beautiful appearance. It is deeply grained with beautiful SPALTED streaks. The fun part comes next , when I start turning the handle and profile it to blend with the chrome finish on the hardware. As I'm turning each piece, I can't help to notice how the grain and streaks of the combination beech and maple stand out. The razor has a good stable feel to it. You can't go wrong with the Chrome finish in this handle.

I profiled the blank with a light rounded countour and sanded and finished the Beautiful Stunning STABALIZED SPALTED BEECH & MAPLE blank handle with the hardware in mind . I then follow by sanding and finishing with a cyanoacrylate(CA) finish that will definitely make this handle water repellent. This process is followed by Buffing and then adding a generous thin coat of Renaissance Wax that will help resist moisture, fingerprints and heat.

The handle measures approximately 5 inches . The Handle has a very nice appealing visual look to it. I believe it will be an excellent gift or treasure for that very special person in your life, and please do include yourself. NOTE: I've reduced the price on this beautiful razor due to the deep grain marks I encounter while turning. The crevices are lightly noticeable, but add great character to this razor. I will post it on the clearance and special section. It would have been ashamed to discard this blank. Please look at photos 2 and 3 above and magnify ---you will notice the slight grain and blemish glitch. You will definitely save on the razor. Enjoy! (NN17-0523-3B)
