Here's a very elegant Secret Compartment Keychain. This beautiful compact key ring will serve two purposes. (1) It will serve as a real nice key ring that is not cumbersome . (2) It will also serve as a secret storage compartment, that hides toothpicks, paper money and reminder notes, etc.

This Elegant Secret Compartment Keychain has such a beautiful Stabilized Maple Medley blank. When I selected this piece, I study the patterns to see if it would blend with the Gold Finish hardware and it surely did.

The fun part comes next , when I start turning the handle and profile it to blend with the Gold finish on the hardware. As I'm turning each piece, I get real excited as how wonderful the maple blank will turn out. I suddenly start to see all the different grains and colors of the maple . I then sand the handle with multiple grits between 120 to 12000. Following: An ultra shine paste is used before I complete the handle with a CA Finish. Finally the handle is buffed with a generous amount of a blend of micro-crystalline "fossil" wax , that is highly resistant to moisture, fingerprints and heat.
